Photoshoot photos

Hi everyone!

Hope all of you have had a lovely day!

Today I and some of the other contestants were at a video conference with Knut Yrvin and Geir Limås. They presented about marketing. And I now understand that there is so much more into it and I have learned a lot about it. Got some really good advice to help me further in this competition.

On Saturday I was filming the last part of my presentation video. In the end, we took some photos.

All of them took place at "Åkrasanden".

Here are a few of them. Credit to: Kristian Eidesvik.

A big hug from Andrea Nicole <3

Foredrag av Helene Abildsnes

 Hei alle sammen!

I dag var vi så heldige å få et foredrag over nettet av Helene Abildsnes. Hun vant Miss Norway i fjor.

Klem Andrea Nicole <3

The day I filmed the presentation video

Hi everyone

On Saturday I was filming the presentation video that will hopefully get me through to the final of Miss Norway 2020.

The name of the one who filmed me is Kristian Eidesvik and he is an amazingly talented photographer and film shooter.

We filmed in some of the most beautiful places I know such as the old city of Skudeneshavn (Søragadå), at the beach of Åkra (Åkrasanden), at the football field of Skudenes and at the beach of Sandve (Sandvesanden). It was such a beautiful day with sunny weather.

Here are two pictures that he took of me in the middle of filming. This was taken by a fence in "Søragadå".

This picture was taken at "Åkrasanden". Lovely day in the sun.

I have already seen a preview of the video. Can not wait until it is done! So excited to show you all.

Hope everyone is doing good in these crazy and unusual times.

A big hug from Andrea Nicole <3

Catwalk-kurs i Oslo

Quarantine and solidarity

Hi all!

Hope all is well with you!

There are unusual conditions here in the world right now.

Here in Norway, several measures have been put in place. Schools and kindergartens are closed. You cannot travel abroad. Leisure activity has been cancelled. Many are quarantined and some of them are infected by COVID-19.

You all must please follow these measures and prevent further spread.

Maybe you are not in the risk group. Anyhow you have to think of the older ones or those with underlying diseases that make it more difficult to cope with the virus.

This quote from Sophis Bush is so true.

Most people who are infected will probably have mild respiratory symptoms that will pass by themselves, while some will have more serious illnesses including pneumonia and difficulty breathing. This means that you react differently and you must pay attention to the people around you.

My grandmother is at risk. She is also incredibly dependent on me coming to her a couple of times a week. That is why I have decided that I will not be with any friends for the first few weeks. Do not want to infect grandma or others.

Here is a picture of my brother, my grandmother and me.

I think we all should thank all those working in the health care system now. It is already starting to get tough for them, but it is going to be so much worse. So just want to thank everyone for helping the vulnerable in the situation we are in now. I have so much respect for nurses and every other person that is working in the health care system.

Not only are nurses everyday heroes here, but also people who are working in the stores, cleaners and so many more. Just want to thank everyone for the work they are doing.

I feel so much for companies and other workplaces that have the risk of being bankrupt through this situation. This means that many people can lose their jobs, let us hope that this will not happen.

Finally, I just want to say that we all have to stand together to and have compassion for one another. It gives me so much hope that most people take this seriously and are good at staying away from crowds, have good hygiene and are good at volunteering.

My thoughts also go to all the other countries in the world such as the US, China and Italy. We will get through this.

I wish everyone the best and take care!

A big hug from Andrea Nicole <3

Kon-Tiki museum

Hi everyone!

Today me and Sunniva visited the Kon-Tiki Museum here in Oslo.

I love history, especially about Norwegian legends such as Tor Heyerdahl. What he managed to do and prove with his dangerous, but amazing journey to the Polynesian Island is incredible.

Here is a picture of me outside the Museum.

This is the story about Tor Heyerdahl and his Kon-Tiki journey.

Thor Heyerdahl gave the name Kon-Tiki to his raft that he used in his 1947 expedition. His crew on the expedition existed of Erik Hesselberg, Bengt Danielsson, Knut Haugland, Torstein Raaby and Herman Watzinger.

The expedition began with Heyerdahl believing that people from South America could have settled in Polynesia in the south pacific in pre-Columbian times.

His aim in mounting the Kon-Tiki expedition was to show, by using only the materials and technologies available to them at the time, that there were no technical reasons to prevent them from having done so.

They used trees and other native materials to construct a balsawood raft said to be of native style.

Here is a picture of a copy of the raft in the Kon-Tiki museum.

Heyerdahl and his crew sailed it for 101 days over 4,300 miles across the Pacific Ocean before smashing into the reef at Raroria in the Tuamuto Islands on August 7, 1947. They had modern equipment such as radio and military expedition food, but found they could live off the fruits of the ocean, as the raft attracted lots of marine life.

Here is a picture of some of sea animals that the raft attracted. The big Shark-Whale was with during their journey for several days. The crew felt it did not show any intention of hurting the raft, but it would not leave either.

One fish they ate a lot was flying fish.

I took a picture of the one that they have stuffed at the museum.

Thor Heyerdahl wanted to prove that is was possible for people from South America to have settled in Polynesia in pre-Columbian times, and he managed to prove that this was possible.

Here is a picture of a wax figure made of Thor Heyerdahl at the museum.

It was lovely getting to know the Kon-Tiki expedition even deeper. I am amazed about what him and his crew dared to do. They risked their lives for proving that one theory is possible.

The biggest reason for me to visit this museum and learn more about Kon-Tiki and Heyerdahl. Was because Thor Heyerdahl is such an adventure seeker, just like me. And I love how much work, dedication and bravery he gave in his whole theory and expedition.

A big hug from Andrea Nicole <3
